So we saw Ed off today with 46 students and adults to Student Life camp. As we left the parking lot, Micah asked where Daddy was going. I responded with "to camp."
Micah: Why?
Me: because it is fun and they are going to learn about Jesus
Micah: learn about balls
Me: balls! no, they are learning about Jesus
Micah: Why?
Me: because they love him
Micah: (snapping right back) NO! Learn about balls!
I just died laughing because Micah has such an obsession with any sort of ball. Right now he splits his time between dribbling or shooting a basketball, kicking a soccer ball, hitting a tennis ball with a racket, throwing a baseball, or just bouncing a bouncy ball. He loves sports and loves to play with any ball! So now apparently his love for balls has become a passion of his and wants others to learn about them as well! We have an idolatry issue we need to deal with!

too funny, katie! i know you'll miss ed while he's away at camp... we just did that with justin and i definitely packed up the kids and went to my parents!! love the new blog look... you and steph inspired me to return to our blogger site jacombs.blogspot.com and get a new look! :)
This blog post is brilliant on so many levels. Not only is the title an attention grabber but Katie's response of "Balls No!" is now my favorite way to say no.
It also reminds me of a brilliant Arrested Development episode where Lindsay asks Michael for money to kick start her new beads business. Gob overhears her and yells "BEES?!?". She corrects him, "No, beads" to which he exclaims "BEADS!".
"...but where does the honey come from?"
So funny!! You are in the land of men and boys at your house aren't you??? Good to hear that Micah is passionate about something, even if it is balls!!!
